Welcome to SO Coffee!

Some time ago we read a note that struck our minds:

”Constraints are creativity’s best friends because they make you think. They force you to be resourceful, to find new connections, find value where others have overlooked. Until now we all had too many resources, and we got used to overspending instead of thinking.”

We started SO about two years ago in all our naïveté, thinking our friendship and good ideas were enough, but soon after, problems began. It took us months of research to find our Roastery and Cafe location - opened a couple of weeks ago after more than a year of renovation and -let's admit it- a load of bad luck and misfortunate events.

We often found ourselves thinking that once this long-dreamed location was open, everything would be better, then once the webshop would be online, things would get even better. Today, if you’re reading this email it means we opened both.

However, we feel our journey has just begun. Now that we have all the means to turn our plans into reality, we realized we are still a long journey away from discovering our full potential, the directions to explore, and plans to develop.

Now, looking back we understand how lucky we were to have gone through all these constraints, we hit rock bottom, and this permanently shaped our will to think outside the box, because at any moment the box could get hit by a pandemic.

Let’s move forward, let’s ask ourselves what’s next, even if tomorrow we all could be lockdown because this will push us to think more and differently.
